Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 30 April 2026

Freehold.Pro Limited is committed to making its website and platform accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. This statement explains what we have done to improve accessibility, where we currently stand, and how you can contact us if you experience any difficulties.

Google Lighthouse Accessibility

WCAG 2.1 AA — Target standard

We have tested this website against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and are actively working towards full compliance.

Tested April 2026

We run regular automated accessibility audits using Google Lighthouse and address issues as they are identified.

01

Our Commitment

We believe that everyone should be able to access and use Freehold.Pro, regardless of disability or the technology they use to browse the web. Accessibility is not an afterthought for us — it is built into how we design and develop our platform from the start.

We are committed to meeting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, which is the standard recommended by the UK Government and the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI). We review our accessibility regularly and address issues as they are identified.

02

What We Have Done

The following measures have been implemented across the Freehold.Pro website:

  • Semantic HTML throughout — correct use of headings, landmarks, lists, and buttons so screen readers can navigate the page accurately
  • Sufficient colour contrast — all text meets WCAG 2.1 AA contrast requirements against its background colour
  • Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements including menus, accordions, and buttons are accessible and operable by keyboard alone
  • ARIA labels on icon-only links — social media icons and other non-text links include descriptive labels for screen reader users
  • ARIA attributes on interactive components — the mobile navigation menu and FAQ accordion use aria-expanded to communicate state to assistive technologies
  • Descriptive alt text on meaningful images — all images that convey information include appropriate alternative text
  • Decorative images marked appropriately — images that are purely decorative are hidden from screen readers using empty alt attributes
  • Responsive design — the website is fully usable on mobile, tablet, and desktop devices
  • No content that flashes more than three times per second — we do not use animations that could trigger photosensitive conditions
  • Video content includes a play/pause control — users can control all video playback
03

Known Limitations

We are transparent about areas where we are still working to improve:

  • Cookie consent — we intend to introduce a cookie consent mechanism in the future. When we do, it will be fully accessible and keyboard operable
  • Skip to content link — we are in the process of adding a visible skip navigation link to allow keyboard users to bypass the main navigation more easily
  • Platform application — our web application at app.freehold.pro is under active development and is being built with accessibility in mind. We will publish a separate accessibility statement for the application as it matures

We are committed to addressing these limitations as part of our ongoing development. If you encounter any issue not listed here, please let us know using the contact details below.

04

How We Test

We use the following methods to test and monitor accessibility:

  • Automated audits using Google Lighthouse on all key pages
  • Manual keyboard navigation testing on desktop and mobile
  • Colour contrast checking using the WebAIM Contrast Checker
  • Screen reader testing using VoiceOver on macOS and iOS

We run accessibility audits whenever significant changes are made to the website and aim to maintain a Lighthouse accessibility score of 100 across all pages.

05

Reporting an Accessibility Problem
